What Did Jesus Do?

Was Jesus rich?  No, not in a money way.  Jesus said we are NOT to store up riches.

Look at the four Gospels and evaluate exactly what Jesus did.  He was helping the sick, feeding the hungry, and getting his followers to redistribute their wealth, not storing up wealth.

Powerful religious leaders of his day vehemently opposed Jesus.  When given the opportunity by the Roman Governor Pontius Pilot to free Jesus, the CHIEF PRIEST encouraged the angry mob to chose let a murderer go free over Jesus!

Jesus associated with gentiles and by doing so stirred up powerful, conservative religious leaders of his day in a bad way.  Jesus recruited a hated tax collector to be one of his closest disciples, one of the 12 Apostles.  Jesus felt it was the sick who needed a doctor to heal them.

When Jesus sent the twelve out to preach two by two, he told them to take nothing with them.  They were to rely completely on God and on the hospitality of the people they met.

Just these few things sound liberal to me not  conservative, using the language we are familiar with today.

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal."  Matthew 6:19-21

I think Jesus would find it difficult be a Republican or Democrat in America today.

As You Believe

Faith is a key, but you need not believe me.  Test it.  You need faith as big as a mustard seed.  Doubt can lock the door.  Experiment with faith. Use your faith muscles daily and build them.

Keep your body as healthy as possible with regular exercise and nutritious food.

Spend some time every day in some kind of quiet meditation or prayer.  Seek first the Kingdom of God.

Renew your mind.  If a doubt shows up, quietly and deliberately change your thought from doubt to faith.

Speak words of gratitude and faith.  If words of doubt do come out of your mouth, quietly cancel that energy by speaking the word cancel out loud.  Carefully craft all vibratory energy which you allow yourself to speak.

When you are around others, do your best to maintain a noble silence if negative conversations develop. Keep your mind on your gratitude for God's goodness in your life.

Get definite about what you want in your life.  Consider the universal laws when making your choices, if what you want will harm others.

Follow Holy Spirit's guidance and do the work.

Jesus was Jewish

Jesus was Jewish.  He had a Bar Mitzvah ceremony when he reached the required age.  He practiced Shabbat, attended synagogue,  celebrated the required Jewish holy times.

Jesus did not write the King James version of the Bible.  He did not even read it.  Why?  The King James version was not published until 1604, 1600 years after Jesus.  The Geneva Bible was a popular translation to read at home before King James created his own. The Church of England had its own translation.

There was no Bible in the form we know today comprised of an "old" and "new" testament  untl several hundred years after Jesus Christ lived.  No translation of the Bible today can claim to be the true translation.

I saw a sign out front of a church once.  It said, "which church would Jesus attend?"  My thought as I drove by, in answer to the question, was no church.  Is there a church today that can claim to be the true church? No.  How could it be?  People who followed Jesus in the early churches pooled their resources and worked together.  There were no weathy pastors.  Church leaders were servants of God who renounced wealth.  Church wealth came when Rome and then England took the church over.

Who was Jesus?  Why did he come?  Was Jesus God?  Was he Messiah of the Jewish Scriptures, our Bible's Old Testament?  Many questions.

One thing we cannot deny is that Jesus was Jewish.  The English name Jesus comes from his Hebrew name Yeshua.  Yeshua actually translates to English as Joshua.

But is he Messiah?  Is Yeshua God's perfect Lamb?  He who takes away the sin of the world? The final sacrifice?  God is Holy.  We cannot meet God as sinners.  Eternity is a very long time.  Yeshua loved me so much that he became the sacrificial lamb so I can meet God when I die.  I am convinced that he is the prophesied Messiah of the Old Testament.  I believe he is the lamb of God.

I have had many convincing, supernatural experiences.  I know for myself that he is Messiah.  But you must ask yourself within your own Spirit.  You must know him yourself.  I cannot tell you to know it.  How can anyone?  We must know our self.

Ask him to come into your heart and show you for yourself, to find out.  Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding.  Right where you sit.  Ask him into your heart.  Surrender works.

Thou Shalt Not Kill

There are many ways to kill another human besides killing the body.   Do we really believe this commandment refers ONLY to killing the body??  We are not naive.

Seems some people can get pleasure out of crushing and killing the Spirit of another human.  Have you ever felt like you killed the Spirit of another human being?  May be you did not even realize what you were doing.

May be someone has killed another's Spirit with a most eloquently placed sarcastic comment at just the right moment in front of just the right people.  It is possible to witness a person crushed in a brief moment.  Thou shalt not kill.

Some have perhaps killed another's Spirit with retaliation of some kind for an unintentional word or deed they received.  Thou shalt not kill.

May be you have not killed another human's body, but have you said or done anything that has killed another's Spirit?  (There are much more darker ways to kill another human's Spirit as well, but I am not going there today.)

I have asked God for forgiveness and feel penitent for my own transgressions.  I am doing my best to make amends where I am able.  I have also done my best to forgive those who have transgressed against me.  I forgive myself.

There are so many ways we humans can kill the Spirit of other humans.

Jesus says that the 1st and 2nd commandments are to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself.

Thankfully, we already have the Grace of God.  It is finished. God was willing. It is done.  Jesus Christ's atonement is for body, mind, soul and spirit.  We can ask for forgiveness and submit our will to his Will.  If we are willing, His Grace will do its good work in us and make us white as snow.  It is not by our works, though, so no one can boast.  He will even help us do the needed changing within ourselves if we will let him.  It is a free gift from a merciful God who understood that we cannot be Holy without Him.

1 Cor 13:1

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

Why wait to turn to God until a situation becomes dire?  Why not practice God's presence every single moment?  Why not lean into God's everlasting arms?

Jesus was the way shower.  He clearly says that we can do the things that he did and even greater things, in his name - SO NO ONE CAN BOAST.

He clearly says in John 14 not to let our hearts be troubled.  Why would he say that?  He answers further on and says, if you really know me, you will know my Father.  He said, from now on [BECAUSE YOU KNOW ME], you will know my Father and have already seen my Father.  Whoever believes in me will do the works that I do and even greater works.  Jesus became the sin offering to God for all time; He became the High Priest on our behalf.

How does it work?  It is simple, but not easy.  Jesus told Nicodemus how it works in John 3.  It is as simple as the bronze serpent God commanded Moses to put on a pole.  It is God's free gift here and now. Can we thrust in our sickle and reap?  Our "work" is to believe and surrender. Simple, but not easy.  God can do the changing work in us and will.  Learning to lean in to God's everlasting arms is the key.  Surrender works.

We cannot earn it.  God did it this way SO NO ONE CAN BOAST.  It is God's great and merciful gift to anyone who dares to believe it!

Let not your heart be troubled.  It is finished. Thrust in your sickle and reap!

God's Prophesied Messiah

God created us perfect, without sin.  Sin is the ability to miss the mark of God's perfection.  We took on sin and chose to miss God's perfection when we chose dualism.  (When Adam and Eve desired to know both good and evil and ate that fruit any way.  Dualism.)

God is holy.  In order to approach God, we need to be holy.  Jewish law required the sacrificial blood of a spotless lamb to atone for sin.

Throughout the Old Testament, we read the history of God's chosen people.  The prophets in the Jewish scriptures testified about the coming MESSIAH.  God's lamb.  The Jewish scriptures are part of the Bible, called the Old Testament.

God sent MESSIAH, in fulfillment of the prophesies, to atone once and for all for everyone's sin so all can return to God's perfection.  We cannot make ourself holy enough to approach God.

Our Creator sent MESSIAH to atone for all sin, so no one can boast.  All miss the mark of God's perfection.  In God's great mercy and love, we have been made perfect again.  God's spotless lamb, MESSIAH, has atoned for all sin.

Jesus told Nicodemus his mission.  See John 3.  No one can see God's kingdom unless they are born again, of water and spirit. Water is completely nonresistant, yet it can wear away rock and can wash away everything in its path.  God did not send MESSIAH to condemn, but to save.  Saved by God's Grace, not by our work SO NO ONE CAN BOAST.

It is a blessed confusion to both love and fear our Creator at the same time and is REVERENCE.  God is HOLY.  God's holiness is why we can only be holy through God's mercy and grace.

We can humbly accept God's simple solution by our own free will and allow God to wash his FREE grace over us to do its work in us and through us.  We are made holy in an instant by God himself.  This happens by FAITH in God's plan of salvation, not by any work WE do . . . BY FAITH ALONE so no one can boast.

In God's perfection he is able to use all our imperfections in his perfect timing.

Did Eve Make Adam Eat The Fruit?

I was not surprised to find that some men blame Eve, exclusively, for the Adamic fall story in Genesis.  Hummm.  Sounds like an attempt to escape responsibility to me.

We all have free will.

God told Adam not to eat the fruit from that particular tree, just like God told Eve.  Adam had the same information as Eve.  Adam made a free-will choice to eat the forbidden fruit, just like Eve.  Adam could have stood his ground.

Legitimately, can Adam pick and choose what choices for which he himself takes responsibility?  Seems some men can, at times.  (Women do it too!)

Neither is Eve absolved because the serpent tricked her.

I have encountered multiple men who blame Eve for Adam's bad choice in the Genesis story.  Adam made his own bad choice.

The Good News is Jesus!

Stepping Off a Cliff - Both Scary and Fun

Trusting God when my intuition is guiding me along can sometimes feel like I am stepping off a cliff.  My fear is that I will not be supported by God's loving arms as I free-fall into the unknown.  In the past I have had times where I have been frozen in fear.  Fear caused me not to step-out in faith and not follow my gut.

It is always my choice whether to step-out in faith or stay frozen in fear.

When I have been completely surrendered, trusted the process, stepped-out in faith, followed my gut, God has never left me or forsaken me.  When I have rolled with what presented itself in the moment by remaining in the moment and followed my gut, it felt like God in action through me.

It is a little scary and a little fun following my intuition.  There is no way for me to experience completely stepping off a cliff unless I actually do it.  I must step off.  I cannot remain on the ledge.  Following my gut is a free-fall I must experience to know.

Relaxing.  Quieting my mind so that I can clearly feel my intuition and know the way to go in the moment is the key.  It is a feeling.  It is a knowing that says go this way.

Do you quiet your mind so that you can clearly feel your intuition without distraction?  We all have intuition within us.

Spiritual Manifesting

Spiritual manifesting should be easy.  Right?  We are Spirit using a body.  We are in the world, but not of the world.  So we should be able to manifest spiritual fruit.  Right?  How do we know this is true?  We have the spiritual testimonies (scripture, spiritual writings, etc.) from many people from the past and the present who tell us.

The only way to truly KNOW if what they say actually works is to DO what they say.   However, this is no easy task.  The world is full of many wonderful distractions.  We might have the best spiritual intentions, but in this mundane world we may even lack the belief that Spirit actually exists.

What is this world?  The Earth is where humanity resides.  Where is the Earth?  We are told the Earth where we reside orbits a ball of fire (The Sun) located some place in the huge Milky Way Galaxy, which is said to be in a limitless universe.  Is the physical universe all there is?

During my lifetime I have experimented with varous Spiritual practices.  I have manifested in many interesting ways.   The manifesting goes through me.  It doesn't come to me.

The physical universe we experience with our senses is not all there is.  There is more beyond our senses.

Who Am I

Who Am I?  Am I my body?  Am I my thoughts?  Am I what I do or do not do in this world?  What am I?

What was I before I came through the portal of my mother's  birth canal?  What will I be when I take my last breath?  When this Life Essence leaves my body what will I be?

As I meditate I begin to discover over and over that there is a something more within me.  I cannot tell you what It is with my words.  You will have experience it yourself.  We each must do the work to begin to know what lies within.

Who can know what lies within by acquiring a PHD at a university.   Who can know what lies within by attending a trade school.

We are encouraged to be still and know.   Can we spend just 15 minutes a day - to see if we can know?  Can we quiet our mind and be still for 15 minutes - and just breathe??  Can we simply watch that breath - the very breath that our Creator gave us?  This is the very breath that is taken away from us at death.

What is Reality?

Is reality demonstrated by what our physical senses can experience?   When we experience life only from a physical perception, are we missing anything?

Here is an example.  Our physical senses require a device to experience the Internet and infrared waves.  People in the past experienced ideas like these as fantasy.  Prior to the invention of devices to access the Internet and infrared waves, it was fantasy.  In the past people experienced only what their physical senses told them was real.

Today people have accepted the idea that we can experience things not available to our physical senses.  Science discovered that things people thought of as pure fantasy 200 years ago are reality.  What else might there be?

Imagine for a moment what your ancestors from 200 years ago might experience if they were suddenly transported from 1820 to 2020.  How would they feel?  In 1820 people relied only on knowledge from their physical senses.  They did not have devices that increased what their physical senses could experience.

Is there more?   Do you experience life only from a physical perception?

Sacred Geometry in Astrology

An idea about astrology has been gradually making it's way back into the mainstream astrological community for a long time.  It began long before there was Sun Sign Astrology. There was a time in astrology when every astrologer created charts completely by hand.  Astrologers looked in books that told them where planets were located.  Aspect calculations were then made by hand.  Once computers became available, astrology software made the calculations and creation of a chart became much easier.  Computers also made it possible to easily store data and track what worked in astrology and what did not.

I have had some issue with Sun Sign Astrology.  How could I be exactly like 625 million other people.  (7.5 billion people in the world divided by 12 signs of the zodiac.)  I have a natural curiosity about things.  When I began digging deeper into astrology I discovered why I had a problem with Sun Sign Astrology, but that is a topic for another post!

One thing I will talk about right now, though, is aspects between planets (asteroids and fixed stars too) based on a circle.  Aspects between planets are personalized into geometric patterns in your birth chart. Did you know that your birth chart is as unique as you??  Geometry is everywhere and the sky above is no different!! Planets, asteroids and fixed stars all form beautiful patterns as they connect and harmonize together in the sky and in your birth chart!  The day of your birth is special to you!

Each geometric pattern is a harmony and each harmony means something.  These harmonies can give us ideas about our personality traits and the individual gifts we have received from God.  The geometry of the planets, asteroids, and fixed starts at the time of our birth individual birth is as unique as a snowflake.

Rather than 7.5 billion people all trying to fit themselves into one of the 12 signs of the Zodiac, each of the 7.5 billion people on Earth have unique birth chart.  All the aspects and geometric patterns between the planets, asteroids, and fixed stars tell a unique and complex story of who we are!!

Below are four very simple geometric aspect pattern examples you are probably already familiar with, just to give you an idea.  There are so many possibilities!  We are all complex human beings and the geometric patterns in our natal chart reflect our special uniqueness!

1. This geometric aspect pattern is often called a GRAND TRINE.  It is comprised of three planets and three sides.  Each side represents ONE aspect called a TRINE.  A trine harmoniously combines the energies of two planets about 120 degrees apart, but not more than three degrees off.  A 360 degree circle is divided into three trines.  The GRAND TRINE represents a gift from God, a talent, or an opportunity, but it still takes work.  The GRAND TRINE harmoniously combines the symbolism of the three planets represented together.
2.  The geometric aspect pattern below is sometimes called a GRAND CROSS or a GRAND SQUARE.  It is comprised of four planets and four sides.  Each side represents ONE aspect of the GRAND SQUARE called a SQUARE and each line of the GRAND CROSS represents another aspect called an OPPOSITION.  The SQUARE aspect works to combine the energies of two planets at about 90 degrees apart, but not more than three degrees off.  The OPPOSITION aspect works to combine the energies two planets that are about 180 degrees apart (across from one another), but not more than three degrees off.  A 360 degree circle is divided into four squares. The GRAND SQUARE provides the possibility to attain great success, although it will likely require the native to forge through many difficulties as one is challenged by the GRAND SQUARE to pull together the energies of the four planets involved.
3. The geometric aspect pattern below is usually referred to as a YOD, but some people also call it the Finger of God.  It is comprised of three planets and three sides.  The aspect of the two longer green sides are each called a quincunx (also called an inconjunct) and are each about 150 degrees of the 360 degree circle, but not more than three degrees off.  The short blue side is called a sextile and is about 60 degrees of the 360 degree circle, but not more than three degrees off.  The two green quincunx sides of the triangle work to become consciously connected through lots of questions before they will combine with the more harmonious blue sextile side of the triangle.  Once this happens the YOD will combine the energies all three planets in the triangle and create what God has planned!
4.  The geometric aspect pattern below is sometimes referred to as a MYSTICAL TEACHING TRIANGLE.  It is comprised of three planets and three sides.  The red SQUARE aspect side is two planets that are about 90 degrees apart, but not more than three degrees off.  The longer green aspect side is called a quincunx (also called an inconjunct) and is about 150 degrees of the 360 degree circle, but not more than three degrees off.  A blue TRINE aspect side is two planets that are about 120 degrees apart, but not more than three degrees off.  A MYSTICAL TEACHING TRIANGLE combines the tenseness of the square, the harmony of the trine, and the disconnect of the quincunx providing a great learning opportunity for the native to grow in confidence and bring the mystery into form!

Workbook for The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn

 Hi folks!

Billionaire Elon Musk and some other super rich folks say we may be living in a simulation.  Imagine if a more highly advanced civilization did create an extremely sophisticated computer simulation a long time ago, and we are it.  According to information out on the Internet, high tech computer codes exist in the framework of our world.

So what if the world actually was a simulation - a game? What would you do differently?  How might you operate the game controls?  I have experimented with many things in my lifetime. I have out-of-bounds planets in my natal astrology chart in the declination aspects, so I sometimes feel like I want to experiment. Perhaps you are like me?  Read on and see, like me, if there is everything to gain and nothing to lose by experimenting in this way.

Florence Scoval Shinn begins her book, The Game of Life and How to Play It by saying, "Most people consider life a battle, but it is not a battle. It is a game.  It is a game, however, which cannot be played successfully without the knowledge of spiritual law, and the Old and the New Testaments give the rules of the game with wonderful clearness...a great game of Giving and Receiving. 'Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.'"

A battle implies that there must be enemies.  According to Websters, a game is an exercise or play or a contest, which implies players. The word successful implies the favorable termination of what is attempted.  Sowing is the act of scattering seed on the ground for the purpose of growth.  Reaping is to receive the reward for the scattering of that seed as a benefit from the exertion.  I have hope that everyone, deep down, wants to successfully reap doing some good work.  Good work, however, is often a matter of perspective - just look at politics.

This workbook is not about the world view or being part of what is popular.  If you are looking for world view or to be part of what is popular in the world, please go elsewhere. Everything I do is about knowing oneself. It is what I have spent my life doing. “Know thyself” was inscribed at the entrance of the Temple of Apollo in ancient Greece. This famous saying of Greek philosophers became a cornerstone for Western philosophers.  If you already know yourself, please go elsewhere. I won't be offended. If you want to know yourself and improve yourself, then lets play!

As information, the book The Game of Life and How to Play It uses Christian terms, and I have added Bible references. Please do not be intimidated by this. You do not have to be a Christian to play.  I just feel that Florence Scoval Shinn describes the process to play the game pretty well, and I will be adding other examples later.  This workbook with activities goes along with this book to help create awareness.  To download a pdf of chapter 1 of the workbook and book, click this link:  Workbook for Chapter 1. I will update and add more later. The book The Game of Life and How to Play It is in the Public Domain. If you want to read the entire book before I get the rest of the workbook uploaded, you will need to do an Internet search.

Yin Yoga: Surrender & Receptivity in Body, Mind and Spirit

Most exercise in our culture is quite yang: running, bicycling, rock climbing, aerobics.  Vinyasa yoga flows are energetic, active, generate heat and are primarily yang. To maintain optimal health and flexibility, our bodies require balance.  What is balance in our life?  Where does one find out how to have balance?  How does one maintain balance?

I teach Yin Yoga.  I began practicing Yin Yoga in 2011 and discovered that Yin Yoga was so much more than just poses. Although referred to by some as passive yoga, Yin Yoga was extremely challenging for me as I attempted to embrace complete stillness in a yin posture I held for five to eight minutes. The long-held, seated Yin Yoga postures target deeper elements in our bodies: connective tissue, fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones.  I held stillness for five to eight minutes in each pose and began to penetrate deeply into my connective tissues. I learned to practice detachment as I held stillness in each pose, and I witnessed the things that came to the surface rather than reacting.  This practice of witnessing rather than reacting began to spill over into other areas my life.

What I did not understand when I began to practice Yin Yoga was how much my practice would express itself in and through my entire life.  It has been amazing!  The experience of becoming receptive to complete surrender was subtle at first, but as I committed more and more to my Yin Yoga practice, I began to witness more and react less.  At first, many of the things I witnessed from within actually shocked me. Because Yin Yoga dives so deeply into connective tissues in our body, storage for hurts and pain, things which I had forgotten frequently came up into my consciousness. I began to grow as I became more receptive and began to surrender to what came up.

So if you are the type of person who prefers NOT to look at those "darker" aspects of your life (which we all have) in order to make changes within yourself and grow spiritually, definitely DO NOT begin a Yin Yoga practice!

However, if you are at all like me and you want to experience a true spiritual awakening in all its full-blown glory, even as you live your life, then cultivating a Yin Yoga practice will probably be a lovely experience for you!  When you begin to unleash the possibility of liberation and transformation that is possible within each of us, you will become as hooked as I am!

Yin Yoga is also great for athletes, busy executives, or anyone looking to add more balance into a highly yang lifestyle. Why not try a Yin Yoga lunch hour practice in your work place - with Yin Yoga there is no sweating!

We must each turn within to find our balance.  Sometimes going within yields results we really do not want to look at, but look at it we must if balance is to be achieved.  Think of the S line that runs down the middle of the Yin Yang Symbol.  It is like a river that flows between lightness and darkness, good fortune and pain.  These are the things of life.

The Chemicalization of America

What is chemicalization?  Isn't that where you mix chemicals together?  How can there be a chemicalization of a place?  Don't you need chemicals to have chemicalization?   Or, like me, haven't you ever wondered why you might have a reaction to a particular pharmaceutical in your body and someone else might not?  Why?  Don't we all have the same stuff inside us?  Isn't the chemical make up of every person the same?  How is it possible then that one person has a reaction to chemicals in a particular pharmaceutical compound and someone else doesn't?  Aren't we all the same?

Chemicalization, with chemicals any way, will happen when two or more chemicals get mixed together.  When they don't work together, they bubble up and the mixture may even spill over.  It may even begin to smell badly.  When you consider how often chemists have experimented with chemical mixtures and watched them bubble up and over, those chemical reactions, perhaps, don't seem quite so bad.  But when you take a pharmaceutical and you break out in hives, you know it's bad.  Right??  How about when you have a herxheimer reaction to a body detox, is that bad?  It's not uncommon to experience head and body aches and pains, nausea and other symptoms during a detox.

So what happens when we begin to challenge old thought and behavior patterns?  Jesus said that you can't put new wine into old wine skins.  What do you think he meant by that?  The old skins had already experienced the fermenting process with old wine.  New wine still had to ferment.  New wine was put into new wine skins so that the skins could withstand the bubbling up of the fermenting process of the new wine.  Perhaps Jesus meant that you can't put new ideas where old ideas have taken hold without something bubbling up.

This is my opinion, and mind you I know for sure that I am no expert, but I do have an opinion.  Have you ever tried to break a bad habit?  How easy is that?  When we challenge old thought patterns, that are deeply set in our mind, our own ego fights back.  Another thought is that our body actually fights back.  Our body is full of cells, which according to science, each have consciousness.  Thoughts and feelings begin bubbling up in us as a reaction as we begin to replace the old habit with the new habit.

Now assume we are trying to change mass consciousness, a momentous task to be sure!  An attempt to change mass thoughts and habits, which are deeply set in millions of people, will be met with the same kind of resistance in mass that our own ego and/or body displays.  The chemicalization of America is the mixing and bubbling up of all the emotions and feelings in the mass consciousness of America.

Chemicalization can also be a healing process.  When I do a detox, I know that my body will probably have a herxheimer reaction.  I know in order to heal that I must go through the reaction.  In the case of a herxheimer reaction, the bad stuff is dying off.

I like the way Emmet Fox described the healing process of chemicalization.  "It seems as though everything begins to go wrong at once.  This may be disconcerting, but it is really a good sign.  Suppose your whole world seems to rock on its foundation.  Hold on steadily, and let it rock, and when the rocking is over, the picture will have reassembled itself into something much nearer to your heart's desire."

Chemicalization has to happen.  The world is moving into the age of light.  Spiritual transformation is happening on a grand scale.  It's part of the process.  America is experiencing chemicalization right here, right now.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

Metaphysical Meaning of Mary's Song in Luke 1:46-55

I wrote a Christmas letter to send out in my Christmas cards this year and included Mary's Song from Luke. Prayerfully I have meditated on the verse and this is what I came up with.  Metaphysical is simply other than physical. God is Infinite. How can any finite human being claim they know anything 100%?   The information below is my guidance that I am sharing with you. I suggest you read each line of the verse and ask God / Higher Power / Infinite Spirit to give you guidance about each verse. You have the Kingdom of God within you as much as I do, or any one. Luke 17:21

Mary’s Song - Luke 1:46-55.
"And Mary said: 'My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant.  From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me — holy is His name.  His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation.  He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in their innermost thoughts.  He has brought down rulers from their thrones, but has lifted up the humble.  He has filled the hungry with good things, but has sent the rich away empty.  He has helped His servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and His descendants forever, just as He promised our ancestors.'"

I love Mary's response to finding out from an angel that she is pregnant: "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant." Luke 1:46-47 Wow. What a response!

When Gabriel visited Mary, she could have ignored his visit completely - she could have been skeptical and doubted that she even saw him. We all have free will. God is ALWAYS sending us messages. It is NOT God who doesn't hear, it is us not hearing Him. It is always our free will CHOICE to magnify ALL things that come our way in the light of God's love, or to magnify whatever comes into our life as a bad thing. Mary could have said, "I'm pregnant and not married! What will people think?"

Gabriel represents or comes to a person who is One with God / Higher Power / Infinite Spirit and ready (or pregnant) to carry forth or demonstrate the Creative Spirit of the I AM.  On page 18 of the book "The Secret of Secrets" U.S. Anderson says, "God, First Cause, Unlimited Consciousness, Infinite Intelligence involves Himself in the matter and manifests in myriad forms, not to prove anything, not to separate right from wrong, but only for the pure joy of expression."

Mary received the news of being unmarried and pregnant with Jesus from Gabriel (Luke 1:26-38) with pure joy of expression. She BELIEVED what she was being told by Gabriel as good, and she was GUIDED to be a vessel of God to give birth to a demonstration of the Christ Consciousness in the world.

Lines 48 and 49: "He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant.  From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me — holy is His name.  His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation."

Whatever you believe about Jesus - CLEARLY the mind of Jesus Christ made a huge impact on our world.  Instead of doubting what she was told, Mary called the news Gabriel gave her "great things" and believed she was being blessed! How many of us would have chosen to believe as she did if we were in her place?  Then Mary goes on to include all who fear God generation to generation in her song / prayer in lines 50 to 55 because of Gabriel's guidance / prediction. To this day Jesus is called the son of God by many people.

Mary believed in a miracle as a possibility. She did not doubt what was happening to her. She based her expectation of the event Gabriel told her about on the belief that it was a great thing. She did not doubt. She used her free will choice to have faith rather than fear. She had the same mind in her that Jesus would have - the mind of Christ, as Paul calls it.

Live, Love and See Beauty Anyway

No matter what happens or has happened, we control our own thoughts and responses. Jesus showed us the way. We are all one in the Infinite Presence. Love is the fulfilling of the law. Hate never brings love.

If we are to rise above all forms of hate, it will be with love. Easy to say, but much more difficult in practice given the things we hear and see on the Internet.

The Internet has given us access to the world. What used to be unknown is now up in our faces. Wireless, hand held communication devices were things of science fiction movies just 50 years ago. Just 100 years ago most of our modern conveniences did not exist. Most people back then probably said, "that will never happen - impossible."

What is possible? In an infinite universe are there infinite possibilities? Who created an infinite universe? What is beyond infinite?

I'm certainly not the one to answer those questions, but then who is? Shall finite man answer questions about infinity? Finite man tries to do that on the Internet.

All I can do is keep going and do my best to live, love and see beauty when and where I can. Life will unfold anyway. I can decide to love or hate. I do my best to love. It is easy to say it, but much more difficult to practice.

Thank you for reading.

I Know Something Good About You

Wouldn't this old world be better
If the folks we meet would say,
"I know something good about you,"
And then treat us just that way?

Wouldn't it be fine and dandy
If each handclasp warm and true
Carried with it this assurance,
"I know something good about you"?

Wouldn't life be lots more happy
If the good that's in us all
Were the only thing about us
That folks bothered to recall?

Wouldn't life be so much better
If we praised the good we see?
For there's such a lot of goodness
In the worst of you and me.

Wouldn't it be wise to practice
That fine way of thinking, too?
You know something good about me.
I know something good about you!

2015 - Remember God

No matter what you call our Higher Power, the Infinite Almighty Power that gives us life and breath, remember our Higher Power.  My 2015 new year resolution is to remember the Infinite Almighty Power which gives me life and breath every moment, moment by moment. When I forget and become distracted by the world for a moment, I will take another breath and allow that breath to remind me that I have no life other than by the Loving Grace of the Infinite Almighty Power who gives me life.

2 Corinthians 1:3 "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father the source of all our comfort."

Deuteronomy 8:18 "Remember the Lord your God, for it is He that gives you strength to make wealth, in order to establish His covenant which He swore to your forefathers, as it is this day."

Quran 2:152 “Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying), I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favors on you) and never be ungrateful to Me.”

Bhagavad Gita Chapter IX, verses 30–31 “Even he with the worst karma who ceaselessly meditates on Me quickly loses the effects of his past actions. Becoming a high-souled being, he soon attains perennial peace. Know this for certain: the devotee who puts his trust in Me never perishes.”

Praise be to the Infinite Almighty Power who gives me life and breath.

With love, Terrie

What Is An Idol?

What is an idol?  One Merriam-Webster definition for idol says, "a representation or symbol of an object of worship; broadly :  a false god."  I have heard people say the golden calf in Exodus 32 is an idol, but are there other more subtle idols in our lives?

If we believe that something has power greater than God, is that an idol?  If God is All Powerful, Omnipotent, Omniscient, and the only God of an Infinite Universe, where does any other power fit in? Do we lose the high significance of Omnipotence and All Power if we believe there is ANY other power greater than God?  And if we do believe that there is something with more power than God, is that as deadly to faith as pagan idolatry?

Do we have fear or faith?  If we fear something, does that something become an idol?  A sort of reverse faith, so to speak. Can we demonstrate our faith by using our little white stone, faith? Or do we believe that the thing we fear has a power greater than God?  Do we trust God completely?  Fear is the opposite of faith.

I used to think that wanting or having lots of money, or designer clothing, or expensive cars, or other trappings of success were today's idols, and they are for some people.  Now I know that my fear in ANYTHING deemed more powerful than God Almighty is probably as great an idol as any kind of idol money can buy.  The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. (Psalm 118:6If God is for me, who can be against me? (Romans 8:31)

What are our idols?  Can we be real with ourselves?  Do we put things before God?  Have we become attached to our things?  Do we spend money we don't have or say yes to things we should be saying no to out of fear of what other people will think?  Do we agree to things we know we shouldn't?  Are we really any different than the people of Israel in Exodus 32?
